On March 14, 2024 Harold Morrow Moore went Home to be with His Lord and Savior, whom he loved and served for so many years. He was 86 at the time of his passing. Harold grew up in Charlottetown and was a Well Driller with his father. He took over the family business “John Moore & Son Well Drilling”. He later joined working with his brother, nephew, and longtime friends at Moore Well Drilling.
Harold had many interests (especially if it had a motor) and he loved to be busy, and many benefited from his unwavering energy. His favourite name was “Poppy” to his cherished grandchildren. Harold, a man of great faith and love, leaves to mourn his loving wife of more than 60 years, Adele (Shaw); his daughter, Lauri Anne (Trent); and his grandchildren, Ty, Tristen, and Kinley Good. He was a special uncle to all his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Houston (Walter-deceased), sister-in-law, Donna Moore, and Dorothy Shaw (Ivan-deceased).
Harold was predeceased by his parents, John Moore, Helen Morrow Moore and stepmother, Doris Moore; brother, Dale Moore; sister, Arlene Acorn (Bill-deceased); as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, Leigh Shaw (Dale), Eva Ellis (Harold), Lloyd Shaw (Janet), Sam Shaw (Annie), Ivan, Robert Shaw (Dorothy), Victor (Shirley), and in infancy, Lillas Pearl.
We the family, extend our heartfelt thanks to the Doctors & Nurses of QEH Unit 8, The Emergency Dept., as well as the Doctor and Nurse from Palliative Care. We were privileged as a family to have them attending to our loved one and the care spilled over to us as a family. We also thank the Home Care Department Staff for their amazing care and visits to Harold at home, and lastly his long-time doctors, Dr. Derek Chaudhary and Dr. Stirling Keizer who cared for him with such diligence and respect over the years.
