With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Adeline Marie (Stevenson) vanDuinkerken, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PE on November 7, 1969, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Bernice (Weeks) Stevenson.
She survives by her devoted husband Steve, stepsons Jayson and Jeff; grandchildren Emma and Gracie.
She was predeceased by her siblings Jimmy, Francis and David; nephew Shawn Stevenson and will be forever remembered by her siblings; Joanie Morgan, Stanley (Lorraine), Sterling (Betty), Gail Cahill (Leo), Winston (Wanda), Randy, Brenda Henry (Oliver), James (Carol), Joyce Snow (Boyd), Harvey (Kathie), Ann Stevenson (Billy), and Rhonda Stevenson (Mike).
She will be greatly missed by father and mother-in-law John and Sandra vanDuinkerken; brothers and sister-in-law Debbie Hammill (Gerard), Henk (Sherri), Dave (Lisa), Brion (Wendy) and several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in both families.
She enjoyed working alongside her husband Steve and had a great love of shopping, traveling, and anything Christmas. She was a woman of strong faith and was a dedicated caregiver to her late parents. Adeline was a loving, caring, compassionate person, with a rare gift for making everyone feel special.
Visitation will be held at Belvedere Funeral Home on Friday, January 16 from 4-7 pm. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 17 at 10:30am at Central Christian Church, 223 Kent Street, Charlottetown, reception to follow. Interment will take place in Hartsville Cemetery.
