It is with heavy hearts, the family of Albert “Happy” Boswall Foster, announce the passing which occurred peacefully, surrounded by his daughter and longtime family friend Tina, at the PEI Home on Saturday, May 24th, 2025.
Born in Charlottetown, PE on July 23, 1934, he was the son of the late Stanley and Edna (Boswall) Foster. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Juanita Jane (Hardy) Foster and his son Jim Foster.
He is survived by his daughter Kim Younker (Rick); daughter-in-law Ellen Foster; brother Keith Foster, sister Elaine Stead; grandchildren Koady Younker (Jami-lee), Allison Carr-Younker (Cody), Alexia Younker, Cole Younker (Stephanie), Katie Foster (Lukas) and James Foster; great grandchildren Jace, Beau, Crew and Penelope and several nieces and nephews.
Albert served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a young man, then moved on to work at Parks Canada for more than 30 years.
He loved to spend time at his cottage, which he built by hand, with his family. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the exceptionally caring staff of Blue Heron at the PEI Home.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, where his funeral service will take place on Friday, May 30 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place in the Union Road Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the PEI Humane Society.
