Alden Harry MacGregor

Alden Harry MacGregor (1937-2025) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Alden Harry MacGregor on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown at the age of 88 years. Alden was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth MacGregor (nee Daniels).
Alden was born into a large family in Kingston, PEI on February 11, 1937 to the late Lester and Pearl (nee Newman) MacGregor. He moved to Toronto where he met and married his wife, Elizabeth and began their family. He realized his dream of returning to PEI, purchasing and managing his own large cattle farm for many years. He further successfully began and grew his own construction business, building many homes in the Charlottetown area.
He is known for his sense of humor, kind nature and honesty. He enjoyed family time and was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother.
He will be dearly missed by his loving daughters, Wanda MacGregor and Glenda White (Stephen) and grandchildren, Joel Arsenault, Benjamin Younker, Christopher White, Lucas White, and Sarah White.
Surviving siblings are Aletha Wood, Bernice Fehr, Robert (Carol), Helen Guthrie (Ed), Evelyn MacLeod (David), Linda Edwards, and Thelma Jewell; and his sisters-in-law, May MacGregor, Marilyn MacGregor.
Predeceased siblings are Eleanor Earle, Howard, Roy, Lloyd and George; sisters-in-law, Doris MacGregor and
Doris MacGregor; and brothers-in-law, Hollis Wood, Grant Edwards, John Fehr, Preston Jewell and Maxwell Earle.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, a visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23 from 1 till 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m. A reception will then be held in the Belvedere Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will take place in the Cornwall United Church Cemetery.
