On August 29th, 2023, Alistair Robert Aiken passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a recent diagnosis of cancer. He was born April 10th, 1951. Alistair was the beloved husband of Marlene Aiken (nee MacNevin). He is survived by his children Jamie (Kelley) of Cornwall, Peter (Michelle) of Charlottetown, Alison (Peter) Gaudet of Cornwall and his daughter in-law Vanessa Wade-Aiken of Mississauga. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Margaret MacNevin. He is survived by his brother Cyrus (Heather) of Ottawa, George (Bev) of Kensington, his sister Rachel Jean Matheson of Charlottetown and his brother Andrew (Carolyn) of Warren Grove. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the proud grandfather of sixteen grandchildren: Rylan, Alexa, Bria, Sebastian, Reid, Jonah, Simon, Thomas, Hudson, Joelle, Patrick, Mylene, Anna, Olivia, Jacob and Lucy.
He was predeceased by his son Daryl Aiken, his parents Robert and Alice Aiken and his father in-law Hector MacNevin.
Alistair was the fourth child of Robert and Alice Aiken of Stanchel, PEI. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Alistair graduated from UPEI in 1974 and attended Dalhousie University for his Master of Economics. He worked with the Department of Development in PEI and the Bureau of Statistics in Winnipeg before returning to the family dairy farm in 1978 for 35 years. In 2013, he moved to Charlottetown and semi-retired with a career in real estate. He was a devoted member of the Free Church of Scotland and served in various capacities over the years.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, September 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 2 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Springton Cemetery.
