Anna Jean (Hewitt) Rodd-MacKenzie

Peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2023, Anna Jean Rodd-MacKenzie, RN, passed away at the Mount Continuing Care Community. Born in Cardigan, PE on May 29, 1930, she was the only child of the late Roy and Lena (Wright) Hewitt. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband J. Alden Rodd, second husband Dr. Elmer MacKenzie and grandson Michael Roper.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Linda Roper, Roy Rodd, Karen Rodd (Helen) and Cindy Tait (Brian); grandchildren Erin (Scott) and Kristen, 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, she is also survived by her stepchildren and their families.

Anna worked as a dedicated Nurse in the ICU and CCU departments for many years. She could put her hand to anything, knitting, sewing, baking, and cooking. She loved nothing more than her dogs and cooking for her family and having family dinners.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, from where her celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 9 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, donations in memory of Anna may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the PEI Humane Society.
