On April 26th, 2023 Annette passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, aged 85. She was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1960, though she maintained a close connection to her Scottish heritage throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband Iain (Alasdair), daughters Aileen and Margaret, son Iain and daughter-in-law Kelly, and her grandchildren Angus, Alasdair, Margaret, Caroline, and Aiden. While raising her family, she volunteered with the Protestant Family Services Bureau, she pursued various creative passions and entrepreneurial endeavors, including a ceramics business and managing the Confederation Centre Gift Shop. She created and sold her own pottery line and was also a talented painter. She was a certified Qigong instructor, and even travelled to Malaysia to further her training. Within the family, she was well-known for her Scottish shortbread, meringues and sponge cake. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. A private ceremony will be held by the family. For those who wish, donations in memory of Annette may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of PEI or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (PEI).
