It is with heavy hearts, the family of Sarah Arlene (MacDonald) Brown, loving wife of Alan L. Brown, announces her peaceful passing which occurred on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PE on November 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Evelyn (Wood) MacDonald. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Leith and Emma Brown, brother and sister-in-law Roy and Aletha Creed and brother-in-law Norman Brown.
In addition to her loving husband of 58 years, Alan, she is survived by her children Darren Brown (Lori) and Heather Brown-Young (David); her cherished granddaughter Hannah Brown; brother Malcolm MacDonald (Ingrid), sister-in-law Lyla Brown of Calgary; and several nieces and nephews.
Arlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and loyal friend. Her working life included CFCY and CHTN radio stations, MacLean’s Funeral Home and Belvedere Funeral Home. She was a very active member of Park Royal United Church, serving in numerous capacities including the UCW and her beloved Park Royal Choir. Arlene will be remembered for her impeccable sense of style, her love for all things shiny, (especially her jewelry) and her love of music which she shared generously throughout her life.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Thursday, January 22 from 4-7 pm. Her funeral service will be held at Park Royal United Church on Friday, January 23 at 11 am.
