Barclay Ralph Rand

Barclay Ralph Rand, aged 71, born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, in Melhouse, France.

A small intimate service was held in Mulhouse, France with his beloved wife and children December 2, 2025.

Barclay was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kathy. He was a proud and loving father to his children, Meghan and Cody.

A cherished grandfather to Rayner, Emma, Corbin and Kesler. He found immense joy in their accomplishments, simply spending time together, leaving each of them with lasting memories and a sense of unconditional love.

Barclay leaves behind his brother, Brian (Barb) Rand, and his sister, Margaret (Wendall) Hazelwood. Brother-in-law to Derwin (Bernadine) Banks, Geraldine Banks, Steven (Sharon) Banks, Jim (Michelle) Banks, Carolyn (Dale) Watts and Karen (Austin) McQuaid. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Freda Banks.

Barclay was predeceased by his parents Perry and Florence Rand, his father-in-law, Cody Banks and brother-in-law Sterling Banks.

A visitation will be held at Belvedere Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. with a funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, December 10 at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barclay may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Red Cross or PEI Habitat for Humanity.
