Bernadette (Leahy) Hardwick passed on August 14, 2023. Born February 21, 1932, to James Henry Leahy and Gertrude (O’Donnell) Leahy, she is survived by seven children—Patricia Ellis (Gary d. 2020), Terrie (Thom Matheson), Jim (Johanne Lavergne), Joanne (Doug McDonald), Loretta (Michael Roy), Paul, and Alan—15 grandchildren— Marie, Stephen, Charlotte, Chantal, Jacob, Liam, Michael, Hilary, Skyler, Leslie, Alexander, Erin, Keri, Sophie, Leah, Owen, and Will and four great-grandchild. Bernadette is also survived by her sister, Pat Stewart, and brother, Paul Leahy, plus many nephews and nieces.

Bernadette was very active in many community organizations plus owning and operating three restaurants. She was a world traveller and well-known and liked in the many places she lived. She will be missed by many.

No visitation or funeral service will be held. Bernadette will be honoured with a private celebration of life.
