It is with heavy hearts, the family of Beverly Beryle (Gaudet) Brown, loving wife of William “Bill” Francis Brown, announces her peaceful passing which occurred on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on May 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Gladys (Lockwood) Gaudet.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, Bill, she is survived by her children William “Tony” Brown (Lee), Wendy Dunbar (Barry), and Paul Brown (Claudia); grandchildren Dylan, Avery, Kyle, Henry and Sam; brother Carlyle Gaudet (Paulette), sisters-in-law Judy Lewery, and Ardele “Dellie" Gaudet; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Pam “PomPom” Longaphie (Alan) and Colleen “Teeny” Doyle (Peter), brother Wilfred Gaudet and brother-in-law Frank Lewery.
Bev loved to sing, play the guitar, bake, cook and entertain family and friends, golf, ski and curl and travel with Bill. She was very crafty and enjoyed rug hooking and quilting. She was proud to be an islander. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, June 7 from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall on Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in St. Martin of Tours Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bev, may be made to Make-A-Wish Canada or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
