Beverly (Joan) Smith

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth hospital with her loving family by her side on Saturday June 28th, 2025, of Beverly “Joan” Smith nee Hansen of Cornwall, PE in her 82nd year.

Beloved wife of Frederick “Gerald” Smith and devoted and loving mother of Michael Smith (Amanda MacDonald), Renatee Smith (Dean Crosby), Rodney Smith, Craig Smith.  Devoted Grammie to Kinissa Crosby, Aislynn Crosby, Benjamin Jenkins, and Addison Smith. Survived by sisters, Ann Mitchell, Brenda Corbet (Donnie) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Sarah Hansen nee Gass, and sisters, Ruth MacKinnon (Ozzie), Jessie MacFadyen (Neil), Preston Mitchell and nephew Chris MacFadyen.  Also survived by her devoted companion, Charlie, her shadow and walking buddy.

Resting at Belvedere funeral home for visitation on Wednesday, July 2nd at 4-7 p.m. A Memorial Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3rd with reception to follow at Belvedere Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the PEI Humane Society.
