Blair Delano MacDonald Obituary

With very heavy hearts, we sadly announce the passing of Blair Delano MacDonald, husband of the late Elizabeth. D. “Libby” (Thomson) MacDonald, Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Nine Mile Creek, PE on September 18, 1945, he was the son of the late Robert and Myrtle (MacPhee) MacDonald. In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his siblings Angus, Tish Rauch (Jack), Janet Smith (Frank), Gladys Beer and Bobby, and brother-in-law Allan Westcott.

He is survived by his sons Chris (Lysa), Jason and Aaron (Bong-gi Sohn); grandchildren Landon and Jorja MacDonald; siblings Roberta Wight (Elliott), Carol Kelly (Phillip), Helen Warren (Don), Faith Westcott and Rosemary Sanderson (Franklin); sister-in-law Lona MacDonald, many nieces and nephews.

Blair worked as a Carpenter for many years. He had a strong love for horse racing and hockey. He loved being surrounded by his family and  friends.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, where a celebration of life will be held in the reception centre on Friday, July 12 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception. Interment will follow in Canoe Cove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Cancer Treatment Centre or the QEH Unit 2.
