Surrounded by the love of his family, Blois MacPhail passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Edith (nee Campbell) MacPhail, Blois will be deeply missed by his loving children: Jim (Mary) MacPhail, John (Laurel) MacPhail, Laura (Wade) Murray and Patti (Jee) MacPhail. He was a cherished Popa to Randall, Josh, Kaity, Ashton, Luke and Maggie, and a proud great-grandfather to Hudson and Scottie. Brother of Ruth Roggeveen and Verna Clow; brother-in-law to Ferne and Mary (Mickey) MacPhail. Blois will also be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Victor and Ethel (Ling) MacPhail; brothers, Norman, Heath (Wendy) and David MacPhail; sisters, Audrey (Harold) Godfrey, Jean (Gary) Smith and brother-in-law Bobby Clow.
The family gives their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Beach Grove Home for the compassionate and loving care they provided to Blois.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Saturday, September 13 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at West River United Church on Sunday, September 14 at 1:00pm, followed by interment at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tait Tierney Bursary via e-transfer to bluefield@edu.pe.ca – please include “Tait Tierney Bursary” in the message section.
