Charles Pius MacPherson

Charles “Chuck” Pius MacPherson, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre after a battle with cancer.  Born in New Waterford, NS on November 6, 1955, he was the son of the late Daniel and Julia (Young) MacPherson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Uhleen and brothers Daniel, Walter, Lawrence, Paul Anthony, Donald, Ian and Fulton.

He is survived by his son Grayson MacPherson, brother Kevin MacPherson (Shirley); sisters Carmelina Bourner (Richard) and Pauline Mesher (Robert) and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck worked with the Youth Corrections Center as a Youth Worker for many years and changed the lives of many. Chuck was a larger than life personality, a witty story teller, music lover, avid motorcyclist and devoted father to the light and joy of his life, son Grayson. Chuck’s presence will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private memorial is planned for a later date.
