Christopher Marshall Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Christopher Kenneth Marshall, loving and devoted husband of Katherine (Walsh) Marshall announces his peaceful passing which occurred on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home. Born in Manchester, UK on May 3, 1949, he was the son of the late John William and Marguerite (Crankshaw) Marshall. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Maureen Lynch (Tom), Peter, David, Malcolm, Ian (Mila), and sister Sylva Bainton.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, Kathie, he is survived by his children Mark(Sara), Rianna Schlechter (Kevin), Andrea, Carla, and Jennifer (Bruno); his cherished grandchildren Noah, Jonah, Caleb, Marcos, Lucas, Mia, Annika and Savannah; his brother Steve Marshall (Cynthia, dec.); sister Helene Courtright (Jim); many loving sisters and brothers in laws as well as nieces and nephews both in Canada and UK.

Chris was a gifted photographer with a keen eye. He loved peaceful walks in the early morning and inspired many with his scenes of sunrises and birds in action. He loved traveling, especially to countries where his children lived all over the world. Nothing pleased him more than exploring new places at home and abroad with his family.

His crowning achievement was walking the 800 km Camino Trail with his brother Steve. His published book, The Camino-A Spiritual Quest, contains spectacular photos and stories of their trek.

His favorite sport was soccer and faithfully followed his team, Manchester City, but also loved taking photos and writing about UPEI soccer for the newspaper.
