Peacefully at the QEH with family and friends by his side on April 29, 2026, Dale Joseph Thibeau passed away at the age of 68. Dale was born in Charlottetown on October 10, 1957, to the late Joseph and Lois (Hawbolt) Thibeau.
Dale will be missed by siblings Glenn (Tracey) Thibeau and Lisa Thibeau. Also, by his nieces and nephew Kayla (Jonathan Coughlin) Thibeau, Danielle (Mike Irwin) Lamphier, Kelly (Daniel King) Thibeau, TJ (Heather Bruinooge) Lamphier, and Shelby Lamphier. Great nieces and nephews Seth Thibeau, Mackenzie Thibeau, Ezra Thibeau, Keiralyn Bridges and Heidi Lamphier. Dale was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lois Thibeau and sister Cheryl Thibeau; grandparents Herbert and Minnie Hawbolt and Lawrence and Julie Thibeau.
Dale loved his time travelling for work his years spent in Afghanistan and Bosnia. His summers spent in Baker Lake Nunavut. His times spent with friends and family. Many thanks to his good friend Minnie Molyneaux for his time taking Dale to appointments and just getting him out of the house. And to his girls in Rustico he always looked so forward for his evenings out there playing cards. Thank you to the doctors and nurses and care staff at the QEH and the cancer treatment center for the special care given to Dale over the last 2 years.
There will be a wake on May 2 from 2-4 at the Belvedere Funeral Home. No funeral by personal request. Dale’s ashes will be spread in various places that held a special place in Dale’s heart.
