Dennis Robert Bingley

With broken hearts and sadness, we announce the passing of our Dear Father, Dennis Robert Bingley, aged 79 of Stratford, PEI on Thursday, July 31, 2025.  His death occurred at the Moncton General Hospital as the result of injuries sustained in car accident on July 17, 2025, in Shediac, NB. Dad is now at rest with his Lord and Saviour and Heavenly Family.

Dennis was the devoted husband of the late Laurie Jean (McLaughlin) Bingley.  Dennis was born in Antigonish, NS on November 13, 1945.  He was the son of the late Robert Bingley and late Alfreda (Buell) Bingley. In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his first wife Myrna (Cameron) Bingley, brother Lawrence Bingley, sister Susan (Bingley) Mahar, brother in-law Paul Fitzpatrick, and sister-in-law Linda McLaughlin.

Dennis is survived by his children Joey (Lori) Bingley, and Denise (Scott) Ralph, Chris Bingley, Michael Bingley (Vanessa), and Kayla Bingley; grandchildren Brittany, Logan, James, Nicole, Jasmine, Kristen, Jaclyn and Sam; siblings Carolyn Fitzpatrick, Sherry (Bruce) Ross, Kim (Evan) Harris, Wade (Bonnie) Bingley, and Morley (Shannon) Bingley; sister in-law Theresa Bingley, and brother in-law Farley Mahar; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dennis had a passion for autobody and operated Bingley’s Autobody since 1973. Over that time, he made many lasting friendships and loyal customers. Dennis also drove a school bus for Glen Stewart Elementary School for over thirty-five years and looked forward to seeing the children each and every day. He enjoyed travelling to visit family in Ontario, cruising and his cherished Montreal Canadians and Toronto Blue Jays. He will also be remembered for his incredible work ethic, strong Christian faith, his great sense of humor, and most of all his love for his family.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, August 7th from 12-3 pm and 5-8 pm, and a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday, August 8th at 11am.
