Diane Winnifred (Currie) Piccott Obituary

Today we're broken and saddened to share the passing of one of our family's matriarchs Peacefully and finally pain free, with Dad’s hand in hers, we say so long for now to our Dear Mom, Mama, Wife, Nanny, Mom-in-law, Nenna, Sister-in-law, and dear friend, Diane Piccott.

A life of caring and unnoticed sacrifice is the best way to start. From the moment Diane was born her faith was very true and important to her and she lived and breathed for her family, as many have heard so often. She was the driving force behind everything and was it not for her, none of us would have made it. She always had her hands on the wheel behind the scenes no matter what the circumstance, quietly guiding the ship, always giving the limelight to others. Diane's heart was the Biggest one could be, with countless times helping those in need no matter who or what they were, very secretive so many times that nobody ever knew about, so so many times. The love her and Walter shared was impeccable beyond reason as they still, after 60+ years, laid in bed every night holding hands. They often spoke about their life and how it was so filled with Miracles beyond which was absolutely true but every Miracle was well deserved for such wonderful people who always put the other person first in life. Diane lived a life as a Queen, exactly what Walter promised her Dad, with unwavering love! Although she will be so missed and life will never be the same without her here, we know exactly where she is and who she's with, and the legacy she leaves behind of life lessons will go on for generations and generations. Rest easy dear Mom and Thank You.

Diane lovingly leaves behind for now, her Husband Walter Piccott, Daughter Rhonda (Steve Ferguson ), Son Stephen    (Dawn Piccott, George and Joyce Lamont, Peter and Donna, Jeremy, Ryan, Kate Jason and Michelle, Zach and Shyla and precious Brynn ), Grandchildren she adored, Walter Jr, Sophia (John), Stephen Jr, and Wisdom. Predeceased by her Mom Winnie Currie and Dad Roy Currie, brother Leonard Currie, sister Florence Currie, Sister-in-laws Minnie ( Gordon Coilpitts ), survived by Niece Michelle, Nephews Gordie, Barry, Kevin, Christopher, Predeceased by Sister-in-law Mary ( Bob Storey ), Survived by Niece Sandra, Deborah, Heather, Nephew Robert, Predeceased by brother-in-law Arthur Piccott  ( Anne ), Survived by Nieces Kimberly, Tracey, Nephews Artie, Jeffery, Predeceased by brother-in-law George ( Joyce ), survived by Nieces Bernice, Beverly, Nephews George Jr, Rodney, David, Robert.

If Yellow Roses grow in heaven which I believe they do,

Lord, please pick a bunch for me.

Place them in my Mom’s arms and tell her there from me.

Tell her we Love Her and Miss her and when she turns to smile place a kiss on her cheek and hold her for a while.

We will remember her in our hearts for the rest of our days but the ache within will never go away,

We Love You Mom and thanks for being You that's exactly what will keep us going Strong !

We would like to especially thank all of the doctors, nurses, and care workers in Unit Two at the QEH and emergency departments And Moms Wonderful Home care team for their beautiful love and care.
