We are brokenhearted to announce the passing of Donald Roland Gass which occurred in the early morning hours of March 13, 2025, at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, NS after fighting a very aggressive cancer (AML), at the age of 62 years.
He leaves behind his daughter, Ashley McKenna, and her two children, Myah & Ryker; as well as his sisters, Marlene Dennis (Alfred Dennis) and Tracey Gass (Ray Lutz).
Predeceased by his parents, Roland Clifford & Carmen Treasa Gass (nee MacPhail).
Donnie was a truck driver and never missed a day unless he was very ill. His pride and joy were his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He went to church and loved the friends he made there; he was a quiet person with a huge heart that would do anything for you. He loved giving gifts for every holiday. His birthday was Halloween so of course, he loved spooky movies, scary rides, etc. We had a lot of fun.
His favorite sports were riding his snowmobiles, his motorcycles, etc. with friends, and he also went to the gym daily.
We are lucky to have had you in our lives and he will live on in our hearts forever.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the Clyde River Presbyterian Church on Thursday, March 20th at 2 p.m.
Interment will take place at a later date at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donnie's memory can be made to the education fund for his grandchildren. Please send cheques to:
