The death occurred peacefully at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on October 25, 2024, of Donald 'Don' Kenneth MacLean of Brackley Beach, age 71 years. Born in Charlottetown on December 7, 1952.
Beloved husband of Miriam (nee Robinson) Neill. Dear father of Colin MacLean (Annie Thibodeau) of Charlottetown; grandfather of Cameron Hendricken of Mount Stewart; and daughter, Kathlene MacLean of Moncton, NB. Brother of Willard 'Willie' (Karen Savidant) MacLean of Charlottetown and Gregory 'Greg' MacLean (Christine Taylor) of Charlottetown; son-in-law of Virden (Naomi Coughlin) Robinson of Brackley Beach; brother-in-law of Marlene (nee Sapier) Thomas of Lennox Island and Betty Robinson of Charlottetown. Also survived by his Neill step-family, Lori (Blaine) Faglie of Weatherford, TX, Lisa (Paul) Kiley of Stratford and Ryan (Aprile Lanphier) Neill of Oyster Bed Bridge; his step-grandchildren, Ethan, Aidan, Adam and Ella Faglie of Weatherford, TX; Emma, Michael, and Brynn Kiley of Stratford; and Christopher and Tyler Neill of Oyster Bed Bridge. The mother of his children, Joan (nee Sutherland) (Donald) Yeo, of Riverview, NB. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by his parents, George 'Kenneth' MacLean and Mary Josephine 'Josie' (nee Thomas) MacLean; brother, Joseph 'Joe' Thomas; and Miriam's mother, Eva (nee MacDonald) Robinson.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, Charlottetown. No visiting hours by personal request. All are welcome to a Graveside Service to be held at St. James United Church Cemetery, West Covehead on October 31, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
