Dorothy (Beck) MacLean

It is with heavy hearts the family of Dorothy MacLean announce her passing on June 13, 2025, age of 80, at the Prince Edward Home. Dorothy, beloved wife of the late Leith MacLean  was born in Alliston, PEI on September 28, 1944, daughter of the late Ernest & Vivian Beck.

Cherished mom to Anne (Allan) McGuirk, Stephen (Sue) MacLean and Kevin (Tracy) MacLean.  Loving Grammie to Kyle, Kaitlyn, Mathew, Justin, Tanner and Hannah.

Dear sister to Jim (Marion) Beck, Ken (Debby) Beck and John (Ruth) Beck.

Sister-in-law of the late Charlie (Phyllis) MacLean, the late Hazel MacLeod (Lloyd MacKinnon, Sterling MacLeod), Milton (Arlene) MacLean, Etta (Paul) Connolly, Ralph (Colleen) MacLean and Ken (Brenda) MacLean.

A special heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Prince Edward Home on the Fox Meadow Unit who went above and beyond to care for our mom.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Belvedere Funeral Home, Charlottetown. Visiting hours Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4-7 pm.  Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 9:30 am with reception to follow.  Interment in the Peter’s Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fox Meadow Unit at Prince Edward Home or the Alzheimer’s Society.
