Dr. Anne Gulati Obituary

Peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Home, Dr. Anne Gulati passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on June 12, 1940, in England, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Winnifred Senior. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Dr. Brahm Gulati in 2018.

She is survived by her son Ashish “Justin” Gulati (Kati), cherished granddaughter Priya Roseanne Gulati; sister Helen Sterling (Nick) and extended family in England and India. Also by many dear friends from Labrador City.

Dr. Gulati devoted her life to her career as an Anesthesiologist in England, India, Montreal, and Labrador City. When she retired on PEI, she became the Medical Director of Canadian Blood Services, Charlottetown. Her selfless personality was grounded in her devotion to the Catholic faith. She volunteered considerable time to the Catholic church and was always willing to listen to, and help, those in need. She was a member of the Carmelites for many years. Dr. Gulati believed deeply that the church should be our guiding light through life and death.

Being a mother and grandmother were her greatest joys. She got much joy out of watching the successes of her son and Granddaughter, Priya Roseanne, who was a true blessing to her. They will be forever connected as Priya’s peaceful demeanor is that of her Grandmother.

She also cherished the nurses and staff at Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home as well as her special friends from Labrador City. May the road to heaven not be as long as the road to Tipperary.
