Dr. Gavin Frank Richardson

Gavin Richardson, DVM, of Charlottetown, born November 1, 1946, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, May 19, 2023. Beloved husband of Elaine Richardson (nee Miller) and dear father of Heather Wise (Bruce) and Susan van Dooren (Ard). Loving grandfather of Iris and Lars van Dooren. Brother of Malcolm Richardson (Sharon) and Jane Richardson, and brother-in-law of Donald Miller, deceased, (Carol), Kathleen Miller (Dave), Susan Stobbs (Bryon), and Laurel Miller. He is also fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Jean Richardson (nee Corrie). Gavin’s career in veterinary medicine included private practice, working in industry, and academia. In 1996, he was honoured to be ordained as an Elder in St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church. He served as an Elder for 25 years, eight of which as Clerk of Session.
