It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Ireland, 78 years old, on February 24, 2025. Bill passed peacefully at the Garden Home in Charlottetown, where both he and his wife, Sandra Ireland resided. 

Bill was a native of the USA, but moved to PEI, Cananda to teach veterinary medicine at the University of PEI. Bill was a founding faculty member of the veterinary college. His passion for learning was alive to his very last day. 

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Ireland; his brother, David (Carol) Ireland; his sisters, Helen Subrenat and Jeanne Manser; his brother-in-law, David Jones; his several nieces and nephews; and his angel on earth, Leigh McFadzen. Bill will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Garden Home for their great care of Bill and Sandra.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home. At this time, no public service or visitation is being held.
