Pauline passed away peacefully at Beach Grove Home on Saturday,
January 31st in her 86th year. She began her secretarial career at the
Navy Barracks and soon after joined H.R. Doane and Company (now
Doane Grant Thornton) up until her retirement. Pauline was a
competitive curler and represented PEI at the National level many
times (5 women’s events and 2 mixed events). She was also an avid
harness racing fan and horse owner. Known to her friends as “the
Queen of the one-liners”!
Pauline is survived by her sister Karen McIntee; nephews Todd (Brandi)
McIntee, Kurt (Tara) McIntee; nieces Leanne (Peter) Gallant and Dawn
Johnston; grandnieces Taylor, Kaylee, Lilyaunna, Marina and Keira
McIntee; grandnephews Brett (Jocelyn) Gallant and Christopher Gallant;
great grandnephews Joey McKenna and Luke Gallant. Predeceased by
parents Raulston and Dorothy (nee MacLeod) Johnston,
sister Lynne, brother Merrill, sister-in-law Beryl (nee Shelfoon),
brother-in-law Robert McIntee.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. No wake or funeral service by
request. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. If so desired,
memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's PEI or to a charity
of your choice. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
