Surrounded by the love of her family and with an appreciation for a life well lived, the death of Eileen Beatrice (nee Weeks) Shaw of Charlottetown occurred on March 20th, 2026 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in her 100th year.
Eileen was born on August 12th, 1926 to the late Mina (nee Sharpe) and Harry Weeks.
Eileen will be dearly missed by her loving stepdaughter Roberta Shaw.
She leaves behind her step-grandchildren, Michael (Christine) Johnston, and Jacklyn Johnston (David Pape), and step-great grandchildren, Daniel (Eleanor), Melanie Pape, and great-grand-step-grandchildren, Rita and Marcus Pape. Eileen is forever in the hearts of nieces and nephews, Eric (Evelyn) Weeks, Nadine Moffatt, Marilyn Sceles (Ted, deceased), Scott (Elena) Weeks, Leonard (dec.) (Dana) Weeks. Grand nieces and nephews Heather and David Sceles, Robert (Amanda) Moffatt, Denton (Lynn) Moffatt, Ryan (Erin) Weeks, Colin (Carolyn) Weeks, Erika (Dan) Steeves, Derick Weeks, Jennafer Weeks (Luke), Brittany, Brandon, and Bradley Weeks, Aeron and Adrian Mejia, and thirteen great grand-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her husband Robert Shaw, step-children Margaret Shaw-Campbell (Roderick), Mary Jacklyn Shaw, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Miller (Olive), Lewis (Frances), Reginald (Ruby).
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be livestreamed and can be accessed by the following link: Remembering Eileen.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the MS Society of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society or the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre (via the QEH Foundation).
