Following a lovely New Year’s visit by friends and family, Elizabeth “Betty” Mary Lynch died January 1, 2026, at the Burnside Community Care Center, which she happily called “home.” She was 88 years of age. Betty was predeceased by her husband Wayne Duncan Lynch and eldest son Todd (Yvonne). She was born on May 12, 1937, to the late Mary Violet (nee Hill) and Alfred Ford in Vancouver, B.C.
Betty will be dearly missed by her loving son, Wade and son-in-law Miles. She leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Jefferey and John and great-grandchildren Avery, Isabel and Hudson.
All are invited to join the family and friends for a time of food, fellowship and reflection in the Belvedere Funeral Home Reception Centre from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026. There will be a general gathering 4:00-4:15, followed by a 45-minute program of remembrance and music with hot beverages and snacks.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty may be made to CMHA PEI’s White Cross Christmas Campaign (https://pei.cmha.ca/donate-to-cmha-pei).
