Emmett Joseph Donahue

It is with heavy hearts and appreciation for a life well lived, the family of “The Legend” Emmett Donahue, announces his final checkered flag on December 12, 2024 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Born in Prince Edward Island, on June 28th, 1962 he was the son of the late Jack and Therese (Gorman) Donahue. He was predeceased by his wife, Gail Burke Donahue.

He is survived by his children, Jamie Donahue (Nevin Scott) and Jessica Donahue (Kirk Stewart); his cherished grandchildren, Lily, Ella, Bella, Easton, Harper, and Kase; his siblings, Marcella Drake (Dale), Brian Donahue (Theresa), and John Donahue. He is also survived by his loving partner, Sue Mccloskey.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15th from 2-5 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, December 16th at 10:30 a.m.

Lord I pray as I race today 
Keep me safe along the way.
 Not only me but others too
As they perform the jobs they do.
I know God that in a race
I the driver must set the pace.
But in the race of life I pray,
