Eugene (Gene) Richard Korrey

The death occurred peacefully at the Beach Grove Home of Gene Korrey on January 22, 2023 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his parents Salem and Regina (Shama) Korrey and his beloved wife Mary Lou Wood. He leaves to mourn his much loved children Paul (Gail Makay) of Armstrong, BC, Darlene Young (Shane), Heather Flanagan (Chris) both of Charlottetown and Janet Munro (Dan) of Sutton, ON. Gene also leaves to mourn his dearly loved 7 grandchildren, Dan Korrey (Ashley), Chelsea Chessman (Mitch), Kaitlin Qadri (Shad), Josh Flanagan, Michelle Flanagan, Zachary Munro (Emily) and Brandon Munro (Brittany) and 11 great grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face. He is survived by his sisters Roma Fraser and Joan Martin (Bob), sisters-in-law Hazel MacMillan and Pat Beaton (Bill), and brother-in-law Tom Douglas. Predeceased by brother James (Gwen) (Kay), and sister Janet Douglas. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held at St. Peters Anglican Church on Saturday, July 22 at 11 a.m. If so desired, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
