Evelyn May Cox

Surrounded by her loving family, Evelyn May Cox (nee Huxted) passed peacefully on July 24th, 2025, in her 89th year.

Ev will be dearly missed by her husband of 35 years Bob (Robert Douglas) Cox; children, Bart Crosby (Brenda), Tracy Crosby (Jeff Hannam), Kent Crosby (Kim), Rob Crosby (Lesley) and Lesley Mendes (Jess). Evelyn’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Bart Jr., Brett, Erin, Sarah, Ben, Christopher, Brooklyn, Brianna and Lauren. She also leaves behind brothers-in-law, John Cox (Cheryl), Alan Cox (Debbie) and sisters-in-law, Louise Balderston (Barry), Janice Hume (John) and Marilyn Wood.

Born to the late Fred and Florence Huxted in Moosejaw Saskatchewan, Evelyn was predeceased by brother Earl and sister-in-law Doreen, first husband Jamie Crosby and other members of his family. Also, brother-in-law Wendell (Rena) Cox, sister-in-law Libby Cox, and in-laws Walter and Bertha Cox.

 Our mom enjoyed cooking, camping, knitting, traveling, summers at the cottage, music, dancing, winters in Florida, and having fun with friends and family.

Please join us as we celebrate Ev’s life on Wednesday, July 30th, 3-7pm at Belvedere Funeral Home.
