The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on March 6, 2025 of Flora Enid Paynter, of Charlottetown, age 95 years.
Mother of Janice (Don) Walters, Faye (Ron) Campbell, Don (Jean) and Norma Squires. Grandmother of Katherine Innis (Ryan), Emily Acorn (Chris), Jenna Ikede (Onos) and Jordan Paynter (Robyn). Proud great-grandmother of Ovie, Kezi, and Evina Ikede and Madelyn and Annie Acorn. Beloved Aunt of Lynne Court and Michele Moore. Survived by her sister-in-law Carol Montgomery (Bruce), special friend Darlene Paynter, and many other nieces and nephews.
Flora was predeceased by her husband Claude, her parents William and Nina (Hicks) Cameron, her siblings (Ralph, Dorothy Hoy, Eileen Pickering, Annie Gillis, Alex, Keith, Bill, Marion Jorgenson, Joan Cameron, Betty Moore) and her sister-in-law, Sharon Montgomery (Alan).
The family would like to thank the staff of Whisperwood Villa for their care and kindness. Also, thank you to the staff at Unit 3, OEH.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12th at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment later at Sherwood Cemetery
