It is with heavy hearts the family of Retired RCMP Corporal Frederick “Fred” Joseph Fitzpatrick announces his peaceful passing, which occurred on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born in Marystown, NL, on February 2, 1952, he was the son of the late Philip and Rose (Madore) Fitzpatrick and loving husband of Cindy MacLean.
In addition to his wife Cindy, he is survived by his children Chad Fitzpatrick, Erin Dickinson (Adam) and Amanda Fitzpatrick and their mother Carol; step-son Mark Annett (Kellie); cherished grandchildren Hunter Annett, Emma and Mya Dickinson; siblings Nick Fitzpatrick (Lenora), Phyllis Wiscombe (Graham), Gerard Fitzpatrick (Joan), Philip Fitzpatrick (Katherin), Robert Fitzpatrick, Paul Fitzpatrick, Louis Fitzpatrick (Jackie), Carl Fitzpatrick, Debbie Fitzpatrick, Ann-Marie Mackey (Des); mother-in-law Jean MacLean; brothers-in-law Garnet MacLean (Sharon), and John MacLean (Laura); sisters-in-law Gwen MacLean, Betty MacLean and Lorraine MacLean; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by three sisters, Sandra (infant), Sandra and Mary McKay; father-in-law Raeford MacLean and brother-in-law Stephen MacLean.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. which will be held in the Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel.
