Garth Ian Norrie passed away peacefully with family at his side on the morning of July 25, 2024. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 37 years, Anne; his cherished daughter Jayne (Molly Fowler-Ross); and his caring siblings Ilene (Rev. Ronald Maund, deceased), Gail (Lyall Somers, deceased), Brian (Janet), and Karen (Kelly Rich). Garth is also survived by his brother-in-law Bruce Caird (Maria) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Violet and Earle Norrie.
A remarkable man with a clever and inquisitive soul, Garth thrived in a variety of careers, truly embodying the spirit of a “Jack of all Trades". After college, he embraced numerous work opportunities across Canada and embarked on adventurous travels abroad, forging many connections along the way. Throughout his journey, Garth cultivated his diverse talents, continually expanded his knowledge, and generously extended his wisdom. Always ready to lend a hand, Garth took great joy in working on home projects, spending time with loved ones, and sharing delicious meals.
Garth and his family extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the healthcare workers who provided care and made his final days more comfortable. We find solace knowing he departed as he wished.
