George Henry Murphy

The death of George Henry Murphy occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday October 18th, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Bertha Georgina (Noonan) Murphy, at the age of 80, of Charlottetown, PE. Dear father of Boyce (Lisa), Shannon Campbell (Eric), and Lori Ashley (Peter). Loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 

Survived by his sisters, Elsie Arsenault (Donald dec), and Geraldine. Brother in law of Bernadette McGregor (Malcolm dec), Reg Noonan, Benny Noonan (Rosemarie), and Garnet Noonan (Colleen). Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Born in Seven Mile Bay, PE on March 6th, 1943, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Rogers) Murphy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Bertha Georgina (Noonan) Murphy, brother William “Bill”, sisters Eleanor Beckstead and Patricia Watson, brother in infancy James. 

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home with visitation on Monday, October 23rd from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 24th at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Seven Mile Bay, PE.
