Gerald (Jerry) Joseph McKeough of Charlottetown, PEI passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025 with his soulmate Gail (Damery) Snow by his side.
Jerry had fond memories of growing up on the Westside, New Glasgow, NS where he first met Gail when he was 16 years old. He also spent time in Grosvnor, NS at his grandparent’s farm before leaving school to start working as a magazine salesman in Toronto, ON.
He went back to school attending Holland College and UPEI. After upgrading his education he worked for Land Development PEI and Coop Atlantic as a Dairy Inspector until his retirement.
Jerry loved playing hockey and cheering on the Montreal Canadians, watching horse racing at the CDP, genealogy and playing golf.
Jerry is survived by partner of 41 years Gail (Damery) Snow; daughters Tamara and Michelle (Charlottetown); stepdaughters Kirsten and Candace (Nova Scotia); grandchildren Alicia, Stephanie, Brook, Desiree, Medea, Danzel, Robert, Tobi; step grandchildren Lauren, Shannon, Jaclyn and Andrew & 3 great grandchildren; sisters Anne (Bob) Jarvis, Kelowna, BC and Sheila (Dean)Casagrande, Ottawa, ON and brother Terry, Shediac , NB and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by parents Joe and Eileen (Smith) McKeough; daughter Suzanne; brothers Bernie, Kevin, Sean and Mike.
The family would like to thank the staff of the QEH Unit 8 for their care and compassion over the last 8 months.
Care has been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
