Gordon Arthur Bishop

Surrounded by his family, the death of Gordon Arthur Bishop occurred on Monday, September 22nd, 2025 at the age of 71 years. He leaves behind his loving wife Dianne. He was the adoring father of Kristy (Manley) Phillips and Jenny (Charlie Stewart) Bishop and beloved Poppy of Tristen, Gabereal, Keegan and Trinity. He is survived by his sister-in-law Mary (Stephen) MacLean as well as his nieces, nephews and fur pups.

Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Art and Marjorie Bishop: sister, Gayle (Dean-deceased) Johnson; and his in-laws, Helen and Vince Newson.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to their “support family” including the physician team, palliative and homecare support, Island EMS and VitalAire. You all helped to keep Gordon comfortable during this time of his life and we will be forever grateful to you all.

Donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to The Lung Association of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island (Lung NSPEI) or PEI Ground Search and Rescue.

There will be a visitation at Belvedere Funeral Home on Sunday, September 28 from 2-5 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date.
