The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 of Hazel Elaine Harris of Cornwall aged 81, beloved wife of the late Charles Harris. Hazel was born in Howlan on June 2, 1943, daughter of the late Henry & Lillian (Ramsay) MacAusland.

Cherished mom to Stephen (Claudette), Larry (Brenda) and Lana (Peter) MacDonald. Loving grammy to Chad (Molly), Brody (Nikki), Joshua (Mary Beth), Melissa, Shawn (Jessica) and great grammy to Bobby, Emma, Brooklynn, Havyn and one more on the way.

Dear sister to Freda Shaw, Betty MacKinnon, Shirley (Bob) Matheson, Hatfield MacAusland, Nancy (Glen) Betts, sister in law to Ralph MacWilliam, Alvin (Beatrice) Harris, Eva Harris (Harry) and Clayton (Lillian) Harris.

Hazel was predeceased by her parents, husband Charles (August 18, 2024), sister Lila MacWilliam, brothers in law Ross Rowell, Gerald Shaw and Melbourne MacKinnon.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Ferguson Funeral Home, O’Leary with visiting hours at the Belvedere Funeral Home, Charlottetown on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.

Funeral service on Monday, March 10th in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O’Leary at 11:30 a.m. with visitation just before from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Interment in the spring in Springfield West Baptist Cemetery.
