It is with heavy hearts the family of Hugh “Hughie” Vaughn MacEachern announces his passing which occurred on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Born in Charlottetown, PE on December 20, 1972, he was the son of the late John and Myrtle (Gallant) MacEachern. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Charlotte Jenkins and nephew Jeffery MacEachern.

He is survived by his daughter Amber MacEachern; siblings Jack MacEachern (Linda), Anne MacArthur, Angus MacEachern (Charlotte) and David MacEachern (Cheryl); his feline companion Patches and several nieces and nephews.

Hughie enjoyed spending time with his family and beach combing for sea glass and other treasures.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, where a celebration of life will be held in the reception centre on Thursday, March 21 from 2-4 p.m.

Donations in memory of Hughie may be made to the PEI Humane Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
