It is with heavy hearts the family of J. Pauline MacLeod (nee MacIntyre), wife of the late Sterling R. MacLeod, announces her sudden passing which occurred on Friday, October 4, 2024. Born in Harrington, PE, on February 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Lucy (Docherty) MacIntyre.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brother Jack.
She is survived by her loving children John (Lorna), Kent (Tammy) and Paul (Cathie); cherished grandchildren Emilee, Laura, and Matthew and great granddaughter Phoebe; sisters-in-law Mary MacIntyre, Bessie MacLeod, Eileen Quiring (Isaac) and Roma MacLeod; brother-in-law Ivan MacLeod; special cousins Betty Carr and Carl Docherty, dear friend and neighbour Evelyn Paynter and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an avid Bingo player, she loved to sit by a stream and fish and listen to classic country music, but most of all her greatest joy was her family.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Monday, October 7 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 8 at 11a.m.
Interment will take place in Cornwall United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the QEH Foundation.
