James Bernard (Bernie) Gallant

The death occurred on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 of Bernie Gallant of Charlottetown, age 88 years.

Beloved husband of the late Eileen (nee Handregan). Dear father of Leanne Devine (Gary), John David Gallant (Tracy). Loving grandfather of Erin, Ellen, Mia, and Landon. Brother of Gilbert (Betty), Gerald “Soper”, Ted (Rita), and Warren (Linda).

Predeceased by his parents Warren and Edith (Martin) Gallant, by his sister Carol Von Kalckreuth (“Tissie”), his brother-in-law Falk Von Kalckreuth, and his sister-in-law Lucille Gallant.

Bernie will always be remembered for his quick wit, his love of family, and the ability to always find joy in life’s simple pleasures. Bernie passed as quietly and peacefully as he lived his life.

Thank you to the staff of the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, especially Nancy, Elaine, Sheila, Opie, Angela, Michaela, and Brenda for their devoted care of our father.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer on Monday, November 17 at 10:30 AM. No visitation by personal request.
