John Alexander Currie

After a life well lived, at the amazing age of 96, we announce the peaceful passing of John Alexander Currie on October 23rd, 2024 at the Mount Community Care. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 73 years and two daughters.  Born in Rocky Point on October 5, 1928, he was the son of the late Ernest and Lousie (Livingstone) Currie. He is survived by his wife Norma (Stretch) and daughters Heather (Bill) Keith and Sandra (Adrian) Khan. Loving Poppie to Sara and Andy (Stephanie) Keith, Alex (Ryann) and Jordan Khan. Great Poppie to Reeghan MacKay and Grayson, Sawyer and Casey Keith.

Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews in both the Currie and Stretch families.

Predeceased by infant son John Derrill and brothers Frank, Nelson (Ila), Charlie (Mary) and Walter (Mary).

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Sunday, October 27th from 2-5 pm.  Celebration of Life at Park Royal Church on Monday, October 28th at 11 am.
