John "Wayne" Davies

It is with heavy hearts the family of John “Wayne” Davies, husband of Kathleen Jane “Kathy” Davies (MacLeod), announce his passing which occurred on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PE, he is the son of Mabel England and the late Lester Davies. Wayne was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Aylward (John).

Wayne will be missed by Kathy’s family, Thelma, Hector, Joan, and Judy, predeceased by Kenny, Willard, Harold, Gerald, and sister Verna.

In addition to his Wife and Mother, he is survived by his brothers David, Stephen (Patty), Robert (Nicole), and Donnie Pitre (Jane), his feline companion Maud and several nieces and nephews.

Wayne worked as an Environmental Technician for the Province of PEI for many years. He enjoyed many hobbies, and most recently enjoyed refinishing antique tools and handsaws. In earlier years, he enjoyed building and flying remote controlled model airplanes and antique muskets.

Arrangements are under the care of Belvedere Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. Donations in memory of Wayne may be made to the Humane Society of PEI.
