Lawrence "Larry" Robert Saunders

It is with heavy hearts the family of Lawrence “Larry” Robert Saunders, formerly of Belfast, announce his death on October 7th, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; their children, John (Michelle), Jane (Shawn), Joseph, and Jill; their grandchildren, Trent, Star, Jessica, Jonah A., Carson, Jonah S., Alexander and James; great- grandchildren, Kaysen, Everett, and Everley; and Larry's siblings, Frances, Russell, and Earl. Predeceased by his mother and father, Evelyn and Walter; his brothers, Walter, Joseph, Bruce, and Evan; and his sisters, Dorothy and Wanda. Larry will be missed by his many friends from his career in banking and investments.

Later in life, Larry loved to garden, having spent much time caring for his fruit trees, rhododendrons, and azaleas.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Belfast on Friday, October 11th at 2 p.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. A reception will be held at the church reception hall following the interment.
