Linda passed away peacefully at Prince Edward Home on Friday April 18, 2025.  She had made her home at Prince Edward Home for the past 18 years.

Prior to that, Linda worked for many years as a public servant with the Federal Government in Ottawa and Moncton before settling in French River, PEI with her sons, Darick and Darin.  Linda loved being outdoors in nature, but her favorite pastimes were sitting on her deck overlooking beautiful French River, watching her boys play in the yard, and driving her boys to hockey games in her ’67 Mustang.

Linda is survived by her beloved sons, Darick (Ashley) Tapp, and Darin (Ashley) Tapp; her grandchildren, Ryder, Emma, Wyatt, Sawyer and Lainey; her sisters, Carol (Keith McCuaig) Garland and Claudia Richard; her brother, Roland (Paula) Richard, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her father, Roland “Doc” Richard, her mother, Evie Richard, and her brothers, David (Karla) Richard and Johnny (Denyse) Richard.

The family expresses their sincere thanks to the staff at the Prince Edward Home for the wonderful care and love they provided to Linda over the past 18 years.  She was treated like family, particularly by her main caregiver, Linda Doucette, a true ‘angel on earth’.  Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the peace and comfort provided to Linda and our family over the years.

Care has been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home. There will be no services at personal request.
