Lloyd Leamon was born in Burnt Islands, Newfoundland to parents Ronald and Maud Leamon on June 15, 1960.  After living with cancer for four years, he passed peacefully away in Charlottetown, PEI on June 24, 2025 at age 65 with his wife and daughter at his side.

He was predeceased by his father Ronald, sisters Lilly and Rhonda (Tim) and nephew Michael Pardy.  Also predeceased by his fur kids Shamus, Annie and ChiChi.

Lloyd leaves behind his much loved mother Maud, his wife Karen Rodden, daughter April, granddaughter Mariah, brother George, sisters Sandra (Raymond), Anne (Brian), Mildred (Wayne), Francis (Wayne), nieces, nephews, constant canine companion Sadie Mae and little Frankie Doodle.

Lloyd was one-of-a-kind.  With a life-long love of learning, he received a Bachelor of English and his captain’s papers for large tonne vessels.  His quest for knowledge never ended, attending classes as an adult in everything from metaphysics to criminology.  He had a passion for dancing, kayaking, biking and just generally getting the most out of life and could often be seen kayaking around Charlottetown harbour with his dog at the helm.

As per Lloyd’s request there will be no services.  Cremation has taken place.  He will be laid to rest overlooking the sea somewhere in Newfoundland where a “thinking bench” will be placed in his memory.  In lieu of flowers, donations towards the bench may be made to lleamon2@gmail.com.
