Tuesday, April 21st following a valiant battle with cancer, Lorne peacefully passed at home with the love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Estelle (nee Vail) by his side.
Born on September 7, 1939 to the late Gordon and Evelyn (nee MacEachern) Taylor, Lorne lived out his life on the family farm in Nine Mile Creek.
Beloved father of children Jamie (Leone), Laura (Wally Young), Barb, Jason (Kris Stewart) and adored Poppy to granddaughter Allie (Ethan MacLean). He warmly embraced the special role of Grampie to Jaymes and Sylvia.
Lorne is survived by his brother, Ivan (Alice nee Vail), cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, many friends and his faithful companion, Duck.
He was a farmer, and a fisherman who loved his community. He made friends with, and was admired by, everyone he met.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home and all are invited to join the family for a scent free visitation on Sunday, April 26th from 4-6 p.m.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, April 27th at 11 a.m. at New Dominion United Church Cemetery (88 Westville Road, New Dominion).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lorne may be made to the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre.
