It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lorraine Margaret (Kelly) Bartlett, loving and devoted wife to Llewellyn (Lou) Bartlett, announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, April 10th at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Born in Montague, PEI, on July 25, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (MacAulay) Kelly. In addition to her parents, Lorraine is predeceased by her siblings Harold Goodwin (Doreen), Anna Fisher, and Ellen Kelly (Dave).
In addition to her partner of over 50 years, Lou, she is survived by her beloved son, Ryan Bartlett (Tara Mosher); her special nieces-like-daughters, Cathy O’Leary MacDonald (Des) and Darlene O’Leary (Digafie); grandnieces/nephew (honorary grandchildren) Morgan O’Leary, Madeline MacDonald, and Ben MacDonald; cherished sister and brother, Alma (Kelly) O’Leary and Leonard Kelly (Aurella); dear nieces and nephews, Amy Bylhouwer (Brian), Stephanie Kelly (Justin), Barry Bernardi, Shawn Bernardi (Heidi), John Fisher, Debbie Goodwin; Barry Goodwin (Rob); and Scott Goodwin (Darlene); and many cherished grandnieces and nephews.
Lorraine is also pre-deceased by her parents in-law, Llewellyn ad Grace Bartlett and nephew Stephen and is survived by brothers and sisters in-law Carol (Melvin) Davis, their son Stephen (deceased) Marlayne, Dave (Sharon) Bartlett - Tracy Lee, Deanne, Harold (Leona), Tania-Joy, Edward, Heather (Lee) Parmiter, Joshua and Sarah.
Lorraine deeply loved her family and dear friends, making sure we all were together for special occasions. She loved her many pets through the years, for whom she made up creative names
. She also loved politics, telling stories from her childhood, and her Irish roots.
The family offers our profound gratitude to Dr. Mitchell Stewart, who was such a support to Lorraine and Lou as well as the staff in Unit Two at the QEH.
Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 10:30 am with a small reception to follow. Private interment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Green Meadows.
