Surrounded by the love of her family, the death of Lorraine Coffin of Charlottetown and Morell occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on December 1st, 2024, in her 93rd year.
Beloved daughter of the late Gordon and Maude (Dingwell) Coffin of Morell and sister of Edward Coffin (Donna). Special Auntie to Jim MacLeod (Bonnie), Scott MacLeod (Suzanne), Lynne Erickson (Carl), Lorraine Corey (Dave), Tonia Hyslop, Heather Howatt (Brian), David Coffin (Sheila), Ian Coffin (Wendy), Bob Coffin (Tracey), Jimmy Coffin, and Stephanie Melia (Vinny).
Cherished Great Auntie to Monica, Melissa, Tommy, Dougie, Kayla, Harmony, Kaitlyn, Travis, Conor, Jodie, Kelsey, Libby, Devon, Ryan, Haley, Dylan, Brody, Brock, Britney, Lindsay, Hayden, Wyatt, Morgan, and her many great-great nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her twin sister Eleanor (Tom) MacLeod, her sister Miriam (Doug) Hyslop, her brother Preston (Phyllis) Coffin, and her nephew Gordon MacLeod.
She was a schoolteacher to hundreds through her forty years as a primary teacher in Morell and at Sherwood Elementary School, where she fulfilled her life’s passion.
Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a funeral service at the Peter Gordon Memorial United Church in Morell on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The service will be recorded for those unable to attend in person and will be posted here when it becomes available: Lorraine Coffin Interment to follow at the Midgell Cemetery.
