On February 12th, 2025 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital the death of Della “Lorraine” MacNeill of Burnside Community Care, formerly from Long Creek, occurred. Predeceased by her loving husband Mackie (Malcom).

Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her children Bonnie Fraser (Keith), Kevin and Roger (Jeannie – deceased), as well as her cherished grandchildren Kerri-Anne (Russell) Corr, Lindsay Fraser (Tyler), Brandon & Lauren MacNeill. Lorraine will be missed by her great grandchildren Keeden & Hank; her sister Donna Gallant (Cyrus); sister-in-law Margaret (Sandy) Flack; and her brother-in-law Norman Pierce as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Austin & Eleanor (Thomas) Leard, her sister Rayona Leard; her stepfather Fenton Wilson and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Pierce.

Lorraine’s care has been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home from where a visitation will take place on Saturday February 15th from 2:00-4:00 pm.  Lorraine’s funeral service will be on Sunday February 16th at 1:30 in the funeral home chapel.

Donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Long Creek Baptist Cemetery Fund.
